PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES + PROJECTS
PROJECT ENGINEER
Windtech Consultants
2022 - 2023
Windtech is a consulting company specialising in providing wind engineering studies of dynamic wind actions on structures and facades, bridge aerodynamics studies, and environmental wind studies using wind tunnel testing.

My favourite project was a megastructure in Mumbai, India, that façade pressure testing to maintain its structural stability during galling force winds. The building required 744 sensors on the tower to measure the wind velocities at every angle and storey. The massive project required me to delegate five technicians to build the model (more than I have ever needed to assign) and our most experienced CAD engineer. The project came in under budget and met the strict deadline set by the client.

R&D ENGINEER
Heliguy
2021-2021
I assisted in the design of a triple-rig camera set-up. I was the lead design engineer who front ran the initial creation and, once approved, was the leading CAD designer for fabrication.

The camera rig was developed to maintain several angles of film capture while the drone is in flight, enabling the director to select and choose between these various angles for the shot of their best liking. This involved a pragmatic approach to design as liaised with drone pilots and cinematographers to ensure that their needs were met and to provide a tool that would be useful.

R&D ENGINEER
Heliguy
2021-2021
My Undergraduate thesis examined the effects of vibration isolation on drones; in doing this, I designed a vibration isolation module using CAD modelling software and Matlab to develop an optimised spring damper for each drone in service. The spring damper worked with great success and has been utilised in the latest drone developed by Heliguy.

My approach to design was to examine the high-frequency and low-frequency shock forces to accommodate the motion caused by these forces and counteract them through the spring application. Much of the project's enjoyment was engaging with theoretical mathematical models to enhance a real-world application.

HVAC CONSULTANT
Clarence Consultants
2019- 2019
I assisted coordination and design of HVAC (Heating Ventilation & Air-Conditioning) systems throughout stage 2 of the 10 million dollar Shoreline Residential Care-Facility development. The project took place with Clarence Consultants in Coffs Harbour, where I began to learn the importance of care and patience when designing large complexes.
My role was to design the mechanical systems using computer-aided modelling (CAD) to apply systems that greatly benefit the buildings' climate conditions and also save the client money, as the systems implemented were significantly more efficient than traditional methods. All this was done whilst complying with the BCA (Building Codes Australia).
